Clinical Evaluation 2
This is my second evaluation, and through the professional dispositions still play an important role, the evaluator was looking at the lesson and the content my students and I worked on. This evaluation took place in a general education, first-grade classroom. I was lucky enough to step into a classroom where classroom management was already well established (it taught me SO much). While I am beyond proud of my students, I know that there was room for improvement within my lesson, most notably incorporating more student-based learning rather than teacher-based learning. I by no means intended to be a teacher that lectures to my students. I hope to improve this by identifying what student-based learning strategies work best with younger students. Personally, I really enjoy having students think-pair-share. It gives them the opportunity to collaborate and allows me to listen to their input and identify who is getting the concepts, and who is not.
